This weekend I had the chance to visit Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland. I took the bus which needed around two and a half hours from Dublin. He stopped right at the city centre of Belfast.

The first thing that I noticed was a black cap which is very typical for the UK. The streets were very clean and not crowded at all – on a Saturday. However, later in the Titanic Museum I noticed where all the tourists are :D Understandable, because unfortunately it was very rainy and uncomfortable outside.

Nevertheless, I explored the city by foot and was pleasantly surprised by the numerous paintings on the walls in the streets. I also had the opportunity to visit the shopping centre Victroia’s Square. If you are there, be sure to enjoy the fourth floor with the stunning view over Belfast.

Before traveling to Northern Ireland, keep in mind that you have to change your money from Euro to Pounds. However, some of the shops do accept Euro. You can also pick up pounds from the ATM with your debit card, but this costs a fee. For 50 Euro you had to pay a fee about 6 Euro.
