Interested in moving to Ireland and being sure to find a job before?

As a recruiter you have a good overview on which way we get the applications and where we find our talents. I would like to divide the following into two groups: how to find and where to actively search for a job abroad.

How you will get find by a recruiter: First of all, it is important that you have an appealing CV. Your CV should contain all the important experience you gained in the field work experience as well as the education. How you can create a good CV will be explained in a following post.

It is also very helpful to create a LinkedIn profile. I noticed that recruiters here in Ireland and in the UK, are actively looking for employees on LinkedIn. It is also important that you provide as much information as possible on your profile. For German, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian or Finnish speaking persons, it makes sense to specify your language skills under the function “Languages”. It is also helpful to write something like “looking for a new opportunity in Ireland” in the headline of your profile. This makes it easier for the recruiters to see that you are willing to move abroad.

In addition, you can upload you CV to http://www.toplanguagejobs.ie/. There you can specify whether you want to move abroad or not and in which country you want to work.

Last but not least, you can also become active on Facebook. There are many groups like “multilingual jobs in Ireland” or “Jobs in Ireland” where you can write a short summary about yourself and what you are looking for.

Where you can actively search for a job: On Facebook you can also search for a job. In the same groups many job advertisements are posted. There is also page called “Multilingual Careers in Ireland” which specializes in jobs that require a language other than English.

There are also so-called job portals. Here in Ireland the page https://www.irishjobs.ie/ is well-known. Another page would be https://www.cpl.ie/Home to do a little self-promotion :D

You should also have a look at indeed or monster. There are also many jobs online.

I hope that I could give you helpful tips and you will have a successful search 😊
