Thursday was already my last working day of last week, so I had a longer weekend. The reason that I took a day off on Friday was that I got visit from my home city.
On Friday we drove to the beautiful Howth which is located on the north-side about 30 minutes away with the dart from Dublin. Howth is an old fishing village that also has a cliff walk. I have been there before in the summer and I really enjoyed it. Although it is winter now, we were very lucky with the weather. With sunlight on the skin you can enjoy the view that you get at the Cliff Walk much more. We even saw some seals in the Harbour 😊
Nevertheless, don’t underestimate the wind at the edge of the cliffs! We went back home, when the sun was sinking and we started to get cold.

On Saturday we visited the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin. To be honest, that was not a smart idea since it is already December and nothing has bloomed in the garden :D
The entrance is free so it is worth going there because of the beautiful and large greenhouses. There you can see huge tropical palms, cactuses and much more. I can imagine how beautiful it looks outside in spring or summer 😊
Have you been there in spring-time? I would really see your pictures!
